Shanghai...Shanghai....
So, I just got back from Shanghai for the Sino Corrugator Expo. I went in group of 56 people, all competitors being friend in a tour...yeah yeah, you know the weird feeling going on the air for the whole trip. Anyway, we visited Nanjing and Wuxi before we reached Shanghai...and here's the breakdown of the trip:
After a 5-hour plane trip, we arrived in Shanghai at 7 am, then we continued our trip by bus to Nanjing which takes about 6 hours (can you imagine that?). After the long long trip, we finally made it to Nanjing and we went to Geyuen Garden before we went to the hotel.
Another bus ride to Wuxi on the next day...this time took us 3 hours. Visited some places, I don't really remember hehe (getting lazy here)...Anyway, here's the pictures:
Me on a famous bridge with city view on the back.
In front of the Three Kingdom City.
Nanjing Road on a night time.
Finally, I got the time to meet the J/C one night. We went for dinner in a nice restaurant called Home's serving Shanghainese food. Sorry I didn't take pictures. We had to wait for Melissa and her 2-lost friends until 8:30 pm...well, we ate around 8pm and saved some for her and her friends. Drank my first beer in a year (Finally!!!).
After that, we went to the famous Shanghai Bund. We arrived right before they turned off the lights. Took a picture with Datong and we waited for our seats on a cafe. It's really crowded that weekend. We got seats next to the Philipino band and it was nice. Niele joined us around midnight...too bad his wife couldn't come. They served German's beer over there in a 1-litre mug (that was the biggest beer mug that I've ever seen) and believe it or not, Matt (Melissa's friend from Canada) drank 3 full glasses that night. As for me, I didn't drink the beer...I got myself a cup of capuccino hehe...but Melisa got me 2 glasses of whisky cola later that night.
And here's the pics:
That's all for today. Hopefully I will have time to update this blog again in the near future.
Oooops, I forgot one picture:
It's my hotel room in Shanghai (Best Western Sunshine Hotel Pudong). I think I got a Japanese style room with a transparent bathroom...hmmm....
