Honeymoon Trip Part IV

As expected, I'm getting lazy again. Plus my internet connection is on and off all the time. So I guess I'll summarize the rest of the trip here.

After Munich, We went to Lucerne, Switzerland where we went to Mt. Titlis. It was freezing cold at 3020m.

After that, we went to Italy where we spent most of the time during the trip. Lugano, Lake Komo, Milan, Venice, Florence, Pisa, and Rome...lots of cities.

I'll try to upload more pics later but here's some pics of the local food that's really interesting and good.

Spaghetti with Squid-ink sauce (made my mouth all black)

HONEYMOON TRIP PART III
Day 7 - 8: Rothenburg - Munich

Another long bus trip :(. Actually, it's not that bad since we made a lot of stops on the way for some interesting stuff. And we got our first snow in Europe today.

When we arrived in Rothenburg. The bus had to stop outside the city wall and we took a walk around the city. Rothenburg is a very nice place, quiet, clean, and kinda relaxing. And we had our first local food for lunch today, started with a vegetable soup and a main course of hamburg.

In Munich, we went on a city tour. We went to the City Hall, Opera House, St. Peter Cathedral, Theater Straat, and Olympic Stadium. We also went to the Nymphenburg Palace with its Baroque style and lots of paintings inside. For dinner, we went to the famous restaurant called Hofbrauhaus and the menu is the famous pork knuckle. I ordered the biggest glass of beeru that they have...look at the size of the pork knuckle and the beeru. I was a bit surprised at first, but it was gooood.
Here's the pics: (outside Nymphenburg Palace and the Hofbrauhaus with the food)

Halfway of the trip already...I hope I'm not lazy to write more later...
HONEYMOON TRIP PART II

Day 5: Paris - Brussel - Amsterdam

So we were in three countries in one day: France, Belgium, and Netherlands. It was a very long ride. But it's very interesting because we had our meals in three countries; breakfast in Paris (American breakfast), lunch in Brussel (Indonesian food), and dinner in Amsterdam (Chinese food). Well, no European food so far, but we had a Belgian waffel in Brussel and it was good.

We also visited the World Exhibition 1958 "Atomium" in Brussel.

Day 6: Amsterdam - Cologne

Today, we visited Volemdam Village in Amsterdam to take pictures in traditional clothing. It was a very nice little village as you can see from the picture below.

After lunch, we left Amsterdam for Cologne in Germany...another long bus ride. There, we visited a big Cathedral

HONEYMOON TRIP PART I

Okay it's time to update my blog. After the wedding, of course it's honeymoon time. We planned our trip around Europe for 16 days. We went to various countries and it was fun except for the long bus ride from city to city. I don't really remember how many days we spent on each country though. Anyway, here's the detail of the trip:

Day 1 & 2: London

We arrived at night and we had dinner (Chinese), then straight to the hotel. The next day, we went to various tourism places: London Tower, London bridge, Big Ben, and Madam Tussaud Museum.

Day 3 & 4: Paris

The next day, we got on Eurostar to go to Paris then straight to EuroDisney. It was packed so we didn't get enjoy any ride, but we walked around the park, took a lot of pictures, and shopped a lot. At night, we got on Bateaux Mouches cruise to see all around Paris.

The next day, we went on a tour bus around Paris visiting Notre Dame, Arc De Triomphe, and Place De La Concorde, then we went on top of the famous Eiffel Tower. At night, we went to the famous street called Champs Elysees and went to Lido Cabaret show.
