We planted this Dragonfruit plant half year back and it's almost time to pick up the fruits. Btw, it's the one with red meat inside...yummy!

Some more pics from Singapore last Christmas/New Year

Raymond picked us up in Singapore for New Year Eve dinner. He parked his car on the basement. It was actually my first time on the basement of the apartment. Turned out it was full of expensive car. Tony will love this parking lot basement.

Some pics of the cars. There are so many more of them but I didn't have much time to take pictures as Raymond and my dad are already in the car.








We went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner. I never have any chance taking picture of the foods as everybody just dig in everytime we go to a Chinese restaurant.

Anyway, after dinner, we deciced to take a walk home while taking pictures of the Christmas lights on the street.



On the way home, my brother's wife spotted this place called Canele selling cakes and dessert stuff and she wanted to go in. So there we go eating again. We ordered banana crepe and caramel crepe.







On new year day, we went to this Japanese restaurant called Sun with Moon. Ordered the special bento. Full full full.



After lunch, we walked around and stopped by at Swensens for dessert.



Last day we went to Sentosa Island to watch the Songs of the Sea. It was pretty cool.



So I gained around 5 pounds on this trip. Good news is, I lost them already now.

Tsuki no Fune

My brother mentioned this small Japanese restaurant at a quite big hotel. I had a hard time looking for the restaurant as it's located at the corner of the hotel with a very small sign board.

However, inside was crowded with mostly Japanese people.

I ordered the Tsuki no Fune special bento. It's actually a set lunch with cawan mushi and salad before they served the bento. And a vanilla ice cream with strawberry and mango sauce for dessert.

Bento was quite big with 9 items; 3-type sashimi, almond-crusted tempura, salad with shrimp mayonaise, grilled salmon, agedashi oyster, beef steak, chicken and tuna yakitori, some seaweed on a glass, and chasoba with quail egg. It also comes with a bowl of rice and miso soup. It took me a while to finish it. I didn't think it was that big as those set costs $13++

Will come back to this place again for sure.

We went to Ootoya last week. I chose the special mackarel set. Pretty good and at a reasonable price too.

D1x Test Shot

I tried a couple shots, with and without flash. This is the best one I got. The one without flash is kinda yellow. I guess I have to play with the white balance and stuff first. Looking for the instruction book now.

Nikon D1X

My Dad suddenly decided to give me his D1X with lots of accesories since he never uses them anymore. This is a very heavy and big camera. I got 3 lenses, lots of tripods, and lots of camera care stuff.

I'm happy with this and now the battery is charging. I can't wait to post its first snapshot later.
